recessed-folding-bedside-wall-sconce-led-reading-light-black-copper-nickel
Recessed Folding Bedside Wall Sconce, LED Reading Light in Black Copper or Nickel for Bedroom

This recessed folding bedside wall sconce is a slim reading light that folds flush into the wall when you do not need it. Pull the arm out to turn the light on, push it back to turn it off, and keep the wall almost clear for a calm bedroom elevation. The head aims for late night reading without throwing glare across a partner's side of the bed.

Important install note: this lamp needs an in-wall recessed cavity. It is not designed to mount onto a standard US-style surface junction box. Check the cut-out sizes below against your wall type and cavity depth before you order. If your wall cannot take the recess, choose a surface sconce instead.

Sizes: Small Dia 5cm / 2in head x H 15.5cm / 6in, with a wall cut-out about 155 x 50mm and 45mm depth. Large Dia 5cm / 2in head x H 17.8cm / 7in, with a cut-out about 178 x 50mm and 46mm depth. Both weigh about 0.48kg and output roughly 2W / 160 lumens. Small versions use a hidden switch in the fold; large versions use a button switch on the body. The lamp can be mounted either way up so the light aims left or right.

Finishes: Matt Black, Chrome, Matt Black with Copper, Copper, or Nickel. Custom body colours can be requested before order if you need a match to existing hardware. Finish samples can vary slightly under warm LED light.

Light: integrated LED at Warm Light about 3000K on 110-240V. Choose the TRIAC Dimmable Warm Light option at checkout if you want brightness control; that version needs a TRIAC dimmer for smooth, flicker-free dimming. Standard rotary dimmers are not compatible. Neutral or cool white are not standard stock options on this listing.

Where it works: either side of a bed as a pair, in a study nook, or beside a daybed where you want reading light without a table lamp taking surface space. The low lumen output is intentional for task reading, not for lighting a whole room, so keep a ceiling or floor light for general illumination.

Styling ideas: Matt Black suits dark bed frames and charcoal linen. Chrome and Nickel sit cleanly with marble and pale walls. Copper and Matt Black with Copper warm timber headboards and terracotta schemes. Mount the centre of the head around pillow height so the beam falls on a book without shining into eyes when you sit up.

Choosing a size: pick Small when the wall cavity is shallow or you want the most discreet look. Pick Large when you prefer the button switch and a slightly taller presence. Confirm hole spacing (about 120mm or 160mm vertical) before the plasterer closes the wall.

Materials: aluminium alloy and metal body with integrated LED. Indoor IP20 use only; not for bathrooms or damp locations.

Installation: hardwired recessed wall install. A licensed electrician should prepare the cavity and connect the wiring. Review the cut-out diagram before chasing plasterboard. The base switch must be on for the pull-to-switch action to work.

Care: switch off and cool, then wipe the arm and head with a soft dry cloth. Do not force the fold past its stop.

Backed by a 2-year warranty.

Dimensions

<img
